PHOTO OF THE MONTH - March 2024: Flooding in the Fens.

This is the A1101 road to Welney, which crosses The Washes. It's usually flooded during the winter as part of a scheme to manage water levels in this low-lying area of East Anglia. When this photo was taken on 1st March, official water levels were well above average, at 2.9 metres, the result of an exceptionally wet winter.
